Knotweed Clerk of Works

In it's Code of Practice the Environment Agency recommends that a qualified Japanese Knotweed Clerk of Works is appointed on construction sites. One of the primary roles of a clerk of works is to ensure site hygiene - stopping the spread of knotweed by accident or ignorance.

We will ensure that all legislation is adhered to (and there is a wealth of it). Finally we will make sure that all staff onsite are informed on identification and the issues surrounding Japanese Knotweed.

We will recommended and carry out appropriate treatments according to the level of infestation, location, schedule of development and budget. Included in the report is a schedule of works with an estimated breakdown of costs.

Pre-Purchase inspections

If you are about to buy land for development, we offer a Pre-Purchase Site Inspection to identify the presence of Knotweed.

It can be difficult to identify, especially in winter and early spring. Other plant species are sometimes identified as JK - so it is wise to call in a Knotweed Specialist. If Knotweed is positively identified we will produce a report outlining the principle issues.
